"The Resilient Filipino"

Filipino people are called Resilient for they have strong wills that can never be crushed by any sorts of calamities and disasters. The Filipino character can be brought out in full view during a crisis. When the typhoon Sendong hit the Philippine, the filipino people was almost drown by grief and despair, some almost lost the will to live. But they overcame the dark shadows of their lives and learn to smile and laugh again. They were not crushed by the darkness that they felt but they instead cling to the light, hoping for the new ray of hope that is to surely come.

Some people were shocked when they see Filipino people laughing while doing an evacuation, smiling even if their houses collapse before their eyes. They might thought that the Filipino people were crazies at first, but they are mistaken cause the true spirit of being a Filipino is facing the problem then turn it into something laughable that even at the toughest times they are able to laugh and thank the god alone for their saved lives. They only hope to be able to stand up again and built their lives for the future. They look back to remember the deceased and then they will turn their heads to the road ahead, They understand well that Life continues and that their lost families doesn't wish for them to lose the will to live, because they are the one who survived then they have the duty to live the lives that was lost, a duty to continue to the future. It might be hard and tough, indeed it will be but they will show weakness for a moment to rise up again even stronger that before.

Even if the winds blow harsh against their hair and their legs may be crippled by the waves, they will stand up and picked up the shattered pieces of their souls and continue to live.

For a Bright future.

After all the Filipino people are Resilient. :)

( We believe in being STRONG when EVERYTHING seems to be going WRONG. )

English 3N A1

A.1 A Nickname and a reason for choosing such.

My friends call me 'Kristel', My Best friends call me 'Tel', My family call me 'Kring'. As a formal thing to do my friends and  acquaintances would always call my whole name but my family and best friends also have their own informal way to call me. When I was in grade school my classmates often teases me for the nickname my grand mama has given me, I mean it sounded like the telephone when it's ringing. But I grow fond of that nickname it follow suit to my cousins nicknames which always ended with 'ng'.

B.1 Three things you like to do on a sunny day.

I love it when the sun is high up in the sky. Others might not like it cause it will cause the darkening of their skin, but I don't mind. I'm a pure Filipina, born and raise in the Philippines so I'm not afraid to feel the sun on my skin, I especially like the sun rays in the early morning between 5:00 am to 7:00 am. It feels refreshing and warm. So the first thing I like to do when mister sun is up is to bath on his warm light. The second thing I like to do is to water my darling plants. The most important thing to raise a plant is a healthy sunny day, I love it when I see one of my dear flowers bloom. Third is to take a little jog into my neighborhood at 6:00-7:00 am. Many old ladies would always give me something to eat when I jog past their shop so it became a little habit to greet them every time I could jog, nobody wants to turn their backs to a free sweet potatoes.

C.1 Three things you like to do in a rainy day.

I love rainy days just as much as I love the sun. There's only a few people who love rainy days because only a few wanted to get wet. But count me as one of those few people. I often like reading Novels and drinking my milk tea outside our little balcony when it's raining. You can hear the 'pit-pat' of the raindrops as it falls to our roof and into the pavement. It's very comforting. Second is I love to think things as I stared blankly into my window. It helps when your arranging your thoughts, it's my little meditation technique. Third is to cuddle with my fat pussy cat name 'Luffy'. I named him after 'Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece', Why? Because my luffy often like to destroy the arrangement of my books, He's very similar to straw-hat Luffy who cares about nothing but eating and fighting.

D.1 What is your dream?

I dream of being a scientist when I was 9, a veterinarian wen I was 11, and an Animator when I was 12. But I found out that not all dreams are possible, I mean my IQ is average and I'm definitely no Einsteinette. I'm good with animals but they often end up with a limp with me and I'm very good with drawing but I like designing clothes and not funny people with big heads. So when I reach the age of 14 I dream to be a professional Teacher. To be able to function to a society. But that doesn't mean that I would stop dreaming. I still have lots of ambition that I would do my very best to accomplish and right now it's to become a Fashion Designer. When I'm able to pile up money to pursue that ambition I would very much love it when I get to design dresses for hollywood stars. :)
Nothing is impossible when your dreaming.
